Not entirely true! Dune1 WAS real-time strategy, BUT, it wasn't a RTS the way RTS's are like these days - it was part adventure and was very very different from any RTS by almost anything. AND it was released three years before Dune2, and its remake (sounding familiar?) was released in 94.
