As I´ve said before, the game contains so much from the books, you should probably have read them to fully enjoy it.
An RTS game in the Tolkien universe... that would be cool!

: I know that the Dune universe DOES have far more to offer it instead of a game like StarCraft or Dark Reign -- obvioulsy. It inspired a game, didn't it? There really is no comparison with the storylines -- but look at it from this perspective --- how much effort did Westwood need to use to come up with the Dune Storyline? Zip. Its already there for them to use. Had they made War2 'officially' based off the Tolkien universe, instead of just in a round about way, they too would have had a whole series of classical beloved books that inspired a whole genre of fiction.

: Its just like AvionicKnight says about programming, it DOES take lots of work to make a storyline, with creative writing, literary talent and poetic nuances all important (and probably not a programmers forte, per se). One can't compare Dune to ANY RTS game in storyline. If you want to judge Westwood games, start with C&C. But don't go yelling that Dune blows every other game out of the water because it was inspired and designed around another persons genius.
